well i definately like the 2nd one a lot more because of the face---only thing is in the 2nd one since the clothes isn't rendered very much it makes the whole thing a little off.....try touching up the clothes a bit more but not too much cuz the roughness adds to the effect---two thumbs up for the 2nd one!!

---what's the mormon part of it??

This is turning into a very nice piece. Also:

(Hope you don't mind the parody. All return missionaries have stories about this Smile )

I just noticed the cross on his arm . . . Mormons don't use the cross at all.

Thanks all for the responses--

The insider-- "Choose the Right" is a Mormon slogan. I was thinking of missionaries in a constant battle for new converts, thus "the war is ceasless." I know, I'm grasping at straws Smile

Das-- I agree as well. I think I was just being lazy with the filters.

Balistic-- Nice paintover...lol. Are you LDS? I didn't know about the cross. How come that is?

I'm not mormon, but I live in Provo Utah, which is like 90% LDS, so . . .

I believe they don't use the crucifix because it symbolizes Christ's death, whereas they prefer to concentrate on his life. At least I think that's what someone told me. I live right next to the Provo cemetary and there's not a cross-shaped tombstone in the place.
