Ok, this is a bit of odd question but does anyone know what types of alternate art forms are starting to emerge especially as related to musuem shows and digital productions go?
I know (after reading anatomy for artist) there is some interesting work being made with anatomical molds. These are very fascinating. Yet, I'm more interested in perhaps "new" traditional.
I know we have paintings, animation, demos, games, movies, sculptures.
But what has people done with 3d work that is not still frame or animation? Is anybody working on these types of concepts, ie animated 3d pictures that is not animation yet in still frame format. Or works using giant surround montiors. It'd be interesting to see some of that type of stuff but obviously expensive to make it...
Also, if anyone has a gallery from that artist (Sara? something) online of high quality then please provide. I'm looking for these types of anatomical sketches. |

Immersion (http://www.immersion.com/) is creating some new stuff with interactive cinema. It might not be what you asked for, but it might be similar.
Personally I would like to see some digital art displayed on non rectangular surfaces. Like projections on a large rock or on a waterfall. |

I beleive Yoko Ono did some video projections on a variety of surfaces during the sixties, seventies and beyond. (So much for new stuff with interactive cinema )
In my opinion, installations are becoming much more frequent in galleries. _________________ Mike
