Hi all, I'd like to offer photoshop lessons. I'll teach you all the basics ie. files, using the paint brush, using the pencil tool, using quick mask mode, using layers, using levels, using the air brush, AND digital painting. I'll also teach you the basics for digital painting.

I'm offering this for the exceptionally reasonable price of $65/hour.

Thank you. Please apply early though if you want to get a seat as these are 1-on-1 classes for all those in my area OR via remote computer hook-up.

Serious enquiries only. Advance payment only. No refunds.

I am serious about this. Do *NOT* reply to this thread unless you are interested in lessons. I have to post a new thread because some others ruined my last one.

Thanks to all. Feel free to email me if you want to discuss it.

Btw lest there be any doubt.. here are some samples of my work. These are copies. Most are from short term memory:

Original: Craig Mullins
How This Was Made: Photoshop copied from short term memory exposures.

Original: Unknown, name was Autmn?
How This Was Made: Photoshop copied from short term memory exposure.

Same technique as above. Original Sorayam Hajime.

Same as above. Original Boris Vallejo.

This is an original 3d work with touchup in Photoshop. I actually forgot to render some additional plastic piece but it was also modeled.

Original 3d/2d work.

Original no copy and no reference work!

----

I have many more works. Most of my originals are made without copy or references.

All of these are my old works and not the quality of my current ability. Thanks.

*Please do try to follow the rules I have written for this topic* Thanks again to all. Thanks.

I hope someone takes you up on this so you can buy yourself a clue!

Very Happy

Shocked

Eh...I'm sorry...just ignore this post, which is inexcusably rude. I just really wanted to say "buy yourself a clue".

Please do abide by the wishes I have expressed. There are many people who copy photos on this forum including Eyewoo, Dr Bang, Danny, Craig Mullins, and many more. The technical aspects of copying a photo or copying anothers work has similiar aspects. I have also shown a wide range of work from copies to originals.

I have tried too be nice about this but it seems some people can not read. I guess they spend too much time making crap decorative art or what. I don't know.

Please do not post in this thread again. The admins do not want this type of thing and I don't either.

If you dont want lessons then just pass this opportunity up. I dont *EXPECT* Craig Mullins to sign up. Thanks everyoen for your understanding.

look at what you copied, and look at what you did yourself. please tell me that you can see a huge gap in how good those pieces are. the copied ones themselves aren't even that good, and for someone who wants to charge money to be a teacher, the original work is awful.

edit: i missed the crap he posted earlier. it probably makes this post unnecessary, but oh well.

Edible: I guess you either A. Can't read or B. Are interested in getting lessons. Please don't post any more negative comments. I don't claim to be the best but I know photoshop well. If someone sees my work and wants to get a lesson that is THERE operative. I'm sure that someone like Boris Vallejo would find many of the peoples artwork here crap and would not take a lesson from them. I mean why should he want to learn how to make crap decorative wall papers of small fury creatures when he can do masterful serious paintings of human life forms.

But, honestly I just want people to stop posting in this thread. If your work is better then mine or you already know photoshop then these lessons are not for you.

Sometimes I wish there was an Admin around as I have a feeling a few people are breaking some rules.

i am trying to have a serious thread about art lessons. So please do tone down the negativity. Let any student decide for themselves if they want to pay for art lessons.

Thanks again to all prospective students for your understanding and genrous kindness. With kind regards.. Light.

I had my check written out to light until I remembered that you can do google searches on photoshop painting for free, or just buy a book for far less than $65 per hour.

65$ An hour?

Well, my art classes (4 hours a week, 4 weeks a month=16 hours) are worth those 65 Euros, and now the Euro is equal to $, I frankly cannot see how you can charge that amount of money. At least in my class they pay the light, the studio, the canvas support...

I am just talking about the economic part, I won't get into details about the quality of the lessons...

I really think it's time Dhab activated the BANNING function. This forum will go to shit AGAIN if he remains too lenient as he has always been.

Dhab, REMEMBER how sijun was damaged so badly time and time again because of trolls and minority of members pissing people off?

Hello? Dj vu?

I never actually figured people came this retarded in real life. My mistake.

Dont bother quoting your coveted 'whyd you post if you werent interested line' at me. You can cram that up your ass with the rest of your ridiculous scribblings.

Light:

Hmm, this is a tough one to call.

While I don't see anything wrong with people offering their artistic services here (in the Discussion forum), and people have done it in the past, I'm not totally sure you've got the requisite experience there to make this offer of Photoshop tutelage value packed.

So there's a wiff of "taking advantage of the newbies" in this post, and to the tune of big $$ which makes me more than a little uncomfortable. Sijun is NOT a place for get rich quick schemes.

But I accept that you are only offering Photoshop tutorials - not art turorials. So I'm going to close the thread as it is and assume that people interested in such services can read the arguments here and make their own determination whether they're interested in what you're offering.
