here are a few from the past couple days....i'm still tryin to figure out which brushes work best in photoshop...i've found the airbrush and soft edged brushes give the painting a blurry muddy feel, whereas the hard edged brushes don't offer much blending...what gives?

anyway, on to the paintings

Duracel: those past two are fantastic, great lively feeling to them....i love the expressions!

the_insider: great portrait....looks fantastic

Chiani: great stuff as usual, your most recent has a great painterly feel to it!

Totally: great portrait....very sharply rendered, what materials did you use for that one?

jr: thats a great painting! i love it, that mask is awesome!

I could not believe it when I discovered this site two weeks ago. Great artists all over the place... I love it!

Hunter, ChiaNi, spoogedemon... you people are just the best! Please keep posting... checking your work these last two weeks it's been like reading a book. I'm always looking forward for next chapter.

Here is what I am capable to do. I have never done a self portrait before... so I thought this was a great opportunity to test my old worn out skills.

There's no 'technique' on these Sad ... wish you could give me some tips on doing fast sketches without stoping on details... and what about shadows and depth... what a mess!

These two took me about 2 hours each!!!!

My girlfriend... an me. Obviously, we are both nervous. That's why we are smiling Wink

Bah been running around all weekend so I really haven't had time to spend to long doing sps :/ I apologise for these been rushed I will try and do a better one soon though probably not tonight as we are trying to sort out the networking in my house.

Wow we have a spooge demon posting in this thread now Smile nice work. It is really nice to see you sticking with it ZippZopp you will be surprise how much you will improve not only in skill but more importantly in speed. Love that one MrBrian. jr That is a lovely image Smile. Duracel thouse are awsome and I know what you mean about getting to know people through their portrats. One of the reasons that I want to learn how to paint good portrats is I really think you can capture somebodies charictor though a portrates in a way you just can't with a photo. Cool stuff ChiaNi I always look foward to seeing what you will produce next Smile. How are you getting on with painter. the_insider there seems to be real cncentration in your face. Enviee That looks very cool lots of charictor. Hunter I sore hope you have time to post some more soon thanks a lots for your comments. Totally: That is an awsome portrat I really hope you post some more.
