Although, I'd say that the only real "competition" Sijun has is Eatpoo. They're pretty fun over there, and there are a TON of incredible artists actively participating. Sijun has kinda lived and died a few times over in that respect. Hopefully these new forums will stimulate some of the oldschool posters to start posting again.
Dhab, are you gonna be posting more of your stuff in the future? Meaning, are you yourself gonna be more active here? I've asked you this like 4905 times in a bunch of different threads but you keep ignoring me!  |

in my opinion eatpoo and concept art are the main ones....DHABIH--YOU CAN START TO CLEAN THINGS UP BY BANNING THE THOUSANDS WHO DON'T DO ANYTHING HERE!!! juss kiddin...but im really not---those other forums have stuff when you register like--ARE YOU AT LEAST THIRTEEN--you know so that there wont be a bunch of poopy unfinished art being dumped in the forums...in those forums all you see is like YOUR kinda art...well maybe im exaggerrating a little--but yea
start by "erasing" my brother, OSK (thats his display name in sijun) because he hasnt posted anything in years--22 yrs old and he doesnt have time for art...PFFF----dont' you have like a record of who posts what?

I think a problem with eat poo is the avators which slow my 56k connection down dramatically!! Plus they take away from the focus on art. I don't like that!! Btw I can't get cable, dsl, or anything else but satellite where I am located.
Another problem with those forums is you have to register to view post! This is not a good idea because that is a waste of time to have to register just to view.
Plus they have ratings and ratings are lame. I got rated a 1 here because some people didn't like me. Anyway, ratings are lame no matter how they stack.
I think go with the simple and focus on the art. Make more tutorials and that will help.
And don't kill users.. I might take 6 months away and come back. If I'm deleted then I may never use the forum again and go to another! Inactive in 4 years.. ok MAYBE.
No pop ups or ads either! I noticed some of those forums had way too many pop ups. |

Eatpoo is pretty good and more active than here and at least there's a moderator PRESENT dus we feel... mmh i can't explain it.
Sijun has lost .... his feeling.
Fgfx.com was an old rival for Sijun but not eatpoo, he's the actual Champion :p
in fact, it's not a exhibition, but you must be honest without a regular checking or particiipation on your own forum, it won't work.

Been digging this forum. I have to throw it into the ALTA VISTA web page translator though as "most" of it is in French. You can still navigate easily though without the translator.

my point in all this is i wanna get an idea of whats out there, whats missing, how to make this place better. im not about trying to compete and get rid of the other forums. if eatpoo roolz now then thats good, its a place for people to go.....i dont know whats out there cause i havent been involved in this stuff for awhile but i'm trying to get back into it.
that said, we will crush eatpoo in the next thunderdome.
roundeye....just playing with ya.
....we'll still crush you in the dome.

anyway i agree with you about one thing, i'm too strong (eh) with Dhab because i'm disappointed about this new forum and i know he could make better!.
well, he's trying his best for the moment (lack of time, lot of work etc..)...
