PuckDewd, what version of Netscape are you using? I've checked a couple pages with Mozilla 1.1 and the forums looked good to me. If I'm not mistaken, Moz 1.0.1 was used as basis for Netscape 7, so with that at least there shouldn't be any problems...
And while we're on the topic: Perfect display in Opera 6.04...

Agrajag, NS 4.79. Yes it blows, yes I hate NS, but it is the "approved" browser at work and I have to design around it's many flaws. Please shoot me.

oh yes, mozilla has never crashed with super animated Avatar, in fact it has never crashed that's all. ok only on fucking "Quicktimed" websites

Dhabih, I agree, these new forums are absolutely awesome.. everything looks and feels great.

My only problem (I dont think its a bug) is that when I hit reply, it displayes the last reply first in the topic review and goes down towards the original post. I dont like having to scroll down to see the original post, expecially when I want to give a crit and want to use the review window to scrutinize the original pic.

anyways everything else so far to me is just peachy.

Forum certainly looks cool now,
but there are 2 little things that trouble me:
- if a wide picture is posted all the text-only posts under it take over the same wideness (?). This makes the threads so hard too read with a 17" monitor, couldn't it be changed? (maybe same problem as Sumaleth mentioned)

- Only the links to the first and last thread pages are displayed... so if you want to go to page 9 in a 17 pages long thread like SpeedPainting you have to click through so much pages... Liked it better when all pages where displayed at the same time

Other than that it is great!

one other little thing, sometimes when I edit a post, it says I edited it x number of times.. other times it doesnt even say I Edited it. Razz

iss there a way to keep the old system for displaying multiple pages to a thread? i like it a whole lot better

instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, ... 23

it'd be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 ,15 ,16 ,17 ,18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23

It will only record your EDITS if someone else has posted after you. Otherwise as long as you are the last post you can edit all day with no edit count.
Same goes for deleting your own posts.

I also noticed that in many other threads. Posts get mixed around in the thread. That's very confusing......

I like it, and it is faster, but the left margin on the quotes does look like it's not supposed to be there.

You've done an incredible job on this forum. I especially like that you can see the art and the thread when posting a reply -very convenient.

One small problem I've encountered; I have checked the "log me in automatically" box every time I've come here and when I come back, I still have to log in again. Do I need to leave myself logged in and just close my browser when exiting?

wow, yeah bob... what crawled up your ass? o_O i mean, waddaya want, a fully flashed discussion board? kee-rist... o_O

anyways, i'm all for avatars, but as with the others, i'd like 'em small, especially since i browse on dialup at home... the forums do seem faster now, which is great, and this keyboard i'm using on campus blows (spacebar is fubar... :/ )

anyways, great job on the new forums, and i'm having no problems so far with this ooold version of IE (i think it's v4)...

[edit] oh actually, just noticed something after posting this: the "return to forum" link brings me back to the thread instead of the forum listing... [/edit]

[edit2] this time the link brought me back to the forums listing without a hitch... Question

Inspector Lee - it's probably your computer. Check to see if cookies are enabled or something. That might be the problem.

No, My cookies are enabled, in fact most of the "log in" sites I visit regularly, automatically log me in if that feature's available. Anyay whatever it was it's fixed now. Thanks for the help though.

Inspector Lee I also had that problem and thought that the Forum was
mailfunctioning, I deleted all the old cookies and then the problem was no more....hehe.
You can also change the secturity in the Explorer, that also helps.

How do you delete a message? I click on the Edit button and the "onmouseover help" says "Edit/Delete this post". But I just can't find the delete button! Am i just blind or is it not possible to delete posts?

Hello Diruo. I guess the Delete option itself has been deleted.
I have also tried to delete messages but weren�t able to do so.
Someone told me that messages could be deleted when no-one has
answered to it but that doesn�t work either.

Great comeback. The new layout looks really nice, the same old colors but mixed smoothly.

About avatars, I also think they could be nice. Putting a limit of 100x100 or 50x50 is reasonable. Also, the signatures allow images now, so why not letting avatars too?

To answer your question Ragnarok.
The Moderators had before the new changes a poll
and asked everyone if they wanted avatars and the most
didn�t want avatars so I guess that is why.

But I think the Signature works fine, you can choose whether you want
a cool picture or a cool signature.
