Mine's comin'! I've been away for the majority of the weekend and didn't realize the deadline would be so tight. Mine will be finished tomorrow. I'm very sorry for the delay. |

it was just a matter of time before root88 piped up about ice.org.
the reason we do it this way is because its distinctly Sijuns.

Yea, I think you're missing the point root88. I think it was kinda rough of you to try and direct all the attention Awetopsy and Bare Bonez are getting toward a shameless plug for the iCE tiles that have existed for years now.
_____________________________________________________
Awetopsy: I think you are missing the point. Did you bother to read my post? I told you that I would only allow Sijun members to work on the quilt. I'm just trying to help the art community, not pimp myself. I didn't write tiles.ice.org and I have nothing to gain from it. I offered a suggestion that I thought could make everyone's life easier. Why do you see everything as a competition?
Egg Beater: I believe that tiles on Sijun have existed for years now as well.
Ice.org doesn't make a single cent from anyone. We pay(lose!) hundreds of dollars a month for bandwith to promote digital artwork. Just as we have been doing for the past 13 years.
Lighten up people. |

One more thing....
If you are so against the members at ice, why don't you just grab the PHP from ice.org? The code is free shared to anyone that wants it. You don't even have to give the author credit. That would be like giving the programmers at Adobe credit for your art.
Excuse me for offering an easier solution, hundred's of hours of coding, and free bandwidth. Man, am I a shameless jerk. |

10 tiles!!!
Everybody: Awesome job so far!!
Specter, beautiful job!! (and not just because its connected to mine.
root88 Im sorry if I have offended you, I meant no harm. I was just merely poking fun at the fact that everytime we have had a sijun tiles game, you have told us to do it ice.org way. But for us, we enjoy the fact that its sijun members hosting it, organizing it, doing the HTML etc.
In reality, we appreciate your offer, but this is something we take pride in hosting ourselves. No offence meant to you. No competition. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

@Awetopsy Thx for the kind words. It's the first time that I'm participating at a tiles game. Actually, it's also one of my first digital drawings ever.
That was fun! Next tile please... |

i was away for the whole weekend so the first thing i did in home was tile (sorry for that it was late).
i'm new at doing tiles (this is my first one) but some pics got border lines caused by the jpg compession making them hard to blend good with their neighbours (sp!).
it would be great if in the future at least the root88 php code was used (thank you man ). It's not about "I WAN'T TO DO EVERYTHING" this shoulde be fun, easy and automaic ! |

There should be one more rule for the Tiles game:
Minimum three lens flares per tile....
NO please don't leave me out!.... forget about those lens flares
- infact -
Rule #1: No lens flares in Sijun Tiles (at least not filter made!) |

thor64 Great idea about the lens flare.. I've been thinking of starting a non-photoshop "lens flare" thread.
people discussing ice tiles vs. sijun tiles: Well all I can quote is Deng Xiaoping "It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice."
I am with Root88 that ice's tiles is more efficient, but at the same time I enjoy doing this the manual way since I have so much time to kill these days - it just makes my day go by quicker.
And yes, "I WANT TO DO EVERYTHING" cause I have nothing to do being unemployed and out of school.
Anyway, bottomline, we're here to have fun, so it doesn't matter how our fun is achieved, as long as it's fun in the end.
Thumbs up for everyone's participation!! |

I think odd's tile is relative to what I was saying before. Unfortunately your artistic vision is somewhat faded by the fact that you know what surrounds your tile, so you try to accomidate for that. That's why his tile finished Mind's chin, neck and tenticles, and puts a top on the doorway of Shizo's tile.
Anyway, just my 2 cents |

I personally prefer not seeing the surrounding tiles before working on mine, as it makes for a much more interesting final product, but on the other hand, using this method, there's no excuse for not blending in perfectly with the tiles around you. I think it works well either way, and while I think the original method is best, it's good to try something new. And if we don't like it, there's always v. 4. |

15 tiles!!
I had to edit Liv the Fish's tile because it didnt blend in perfectly...
Liv I may get you to redo part of the tile later, after the other surrounding ones are done, to make it blend better.

20 tiles
Malachi: wow! (I had to edit yours slightly to make it blend a bit)
note to everyone: when you get borders to work from, you cannot change those borders, you cannot draw into those borders you have to make your tile blend into whats already there. thanx.

Alright!! 26 tiles!! woohoo!!
Everyone: please remember that you have to make the tiles blend with all of the borders that you are given.
Emkah: as you can see, yes I did get your tile great job.
S4Sb great job on your blending... but your tile was sent backwards... I had to flip it over. |
