Yea, I think you're missing the point root88. I think it was kinda rough of you to try and direct all the attention Awetopsy and Bare Bonez are getting toward a shameless plug for the iCE tiles that have existed for years now.

Oh this is so wicked. We've got a total of 29 artists now and we're expecting 4 tiles a day!

So folks that are working now are:

Specter(2,1), EllioT(1,2), Egg Beater(1,5), Gux(2,6), Tinusch(1,7), Nimr0d(2,8), Twice(5,8), and Fafnir(7,6).

Next 8 people on the list should get their piece tomorrow or Saturday morning!

Awetopsy: I sent Andromeda's tile to you just now. So you should get it.

ahw - Everyone is contributing one tile to a huge mosaic. The thing is you have to blend your tile with the surrounding tiles to make it all one unified image. To do that, they are assigning people certain tiles, and sending them a small slice of the tile next to it with which to blend theirs. Check out Root88's site for examples.

ahw - basically you draw a picture as best as your skill allows you to in order to win this tiles competition.. Tinusch knows who the winner will be (me) so you should't work to hard on it as it will only be in vain.

Awetopsy / BareBonez - i think i have a good suggestion. Once all tiles are finish, why don't you make it available in a different arrangement, with black and white tiles looking like a chess board instead of one half black and another half white (which i think is pretty boring).

ahw - i was joking about it being a competition, it's not.

Shizo I dig your idea (and your tile! yeah you win the competition!), but we've already started.. This is going so well that I can't wait to start a Tiles 4.0 - so maybe we could use the checker pattern in Tiles 4.0 or something similar to it.

7 tiles!!

oh and one littl thing I forgot to mention is that we reserve the right to edit any tiles submitted purely for reasons of making them blend better.. I edited angelic remix's tile slightly.

doesn't posting tiles before the mural is done defeat the purpose of the neighboring tiles not knowing what they are extending their drawing from?

i guess this tile project is done as such cos alll the ones before it was done without anyone knowing what the tile besides them looks like.

personally i like it done this way, makes the finished product look more united, less messy. more 'flow' into the whole canvas

I like the Jesus with the thumbs up. It's like him saying...

"Hey it's okay to die!"
"Oh, you got hit by a bus and your body was mangled into the grating."
"Well better luck next time."
"Yeah!" (Big thumbs up)

Hey dudes,

If you haven't received a tile, please be patient. We've got some guys being a bit late, so I'll re-assign their tiles as soon as I hear nothing from them. Hopefully, I will get them soon. The more tiles that come in the faster you'll get your tile. So no worries.

If you want to see who's done and who's up next, check the this link.

The participation has been amazing so far!
