Quickie McQuick. About an hour-90 mins spent on it. First ever 'real' self portrait. Before you ask - - Yeah, I'm out of practise, hence the black outlines and somewhat freakish values.

Okay had another try.

I found out it looks a lot better with a background just quickly slopped in.

I actually like this one, even though I haven't put any details in at all.

Phew, this one took even longer than the last one!

What do you lot think?

This was done in a bug rush (was going to see my girlfriend and I am trying to do one of these a day

) so please forgive the bad coloring. I have been having lots of anantomy problems with this pose (see above) so this is my latest atempt to try and get it right. I haven't been posting up all my atempts here just the better ones

. They are all being done for a thread on conceptart where we all post up a portrat every day (It is the reason I have been getting a lot less sleep recently

)

P.S. Lets see if we can keep this thread bigger than the speed painting one

Mchal: I have art degree at Taiwan collage.
Here in Chicago I study at The School of Art Insititute of Chicago.

Both my mom and dad were artist.

Your art is great too. I see your art on your website. you do catch the mood.

Tornstein is great isn't him? He not around right now. He left message on this thread that he will be gone for two weeks.
