I've been noticing a bunch of Self Portraits on this here forum.
So hey, why not make a thread for 'em?
Here's mine.

There's a Self-portrait thread going on at Conceptart.org, which might be the reason behind the current activity boost. Gawk it here.
It's a spin-off off Andrew Jones' (android) "Self-portrait of the Day" thread, a fantastic show that you ought to take a peak at right here.
I just joined two days ago, so I only have two to show for so far, shown here:
I like your smooth horns, Machine God. If you'd care to look at my Epilogue page, there is shown my own devilish version of the self.
So, anyone else care to join? Whose hideous countenance is up next?

No the horns don't help catch girls. I just bang them on everything. It's quite annoying. Besides I've got the best girl in the world. I don't want to catch any more. |

Lots of Quality posts here, I must say! Great work... welcome Ston3D, stylish, very stylish... heartfelt colours as well. I hope you'll be posting more?
Here's tonight's work, done using Painter 7's default Inkbrush. Took longer time than it looks... Emphasis on the mouth (requested).

oDD, I think you should colour more from life, this one looks very natural. No black shadows, solid! |

AndyT: when are you going to lay off those thick black outlines? They're not a-helpin' ye, mate!
Jezelf: You're very welcome to put up a mirror and try from life! It's very fresh and rewarding. I don't know if it's just me, but I'm treating colours completely different than I would copying a photo. Fun fun fun!
Here's today's, colour again, but on the wild side... There was a call for lighter concepts, and this should be gay enough I believe...
New ones! Fresh fresh! Gimme!

I didn't think about them as outlines. Shadows! That's what they are
But honestly it wasn't a serious approach. Seeing how it's about to turn out & The Gimp (floating windows) & Mouse ... it's just too frustrating. And I don't think it would be a lot better without the outlines ....
Yours are just amazing. Moodwise especially the latest.

Hehe, this was done for a theme thread on another forum. I can't find the original ref photo, but this is based on a photo of me. And no, I wasn't wearing a Nelson trenchcoat and matching scar in the photo...
Malachi: That pic rocks.
Torstein: The first two are awesome.

It is an old picture...I wish I had time to make a new one for this thread, but I don't:
It looks pretty much like me...but my hair is dark. |

AndyT: It WOULD be better without outlines! Trust your feelings! Let go, Andy! BUILD the form! You know the theory now, time to DO!
Ceenda: Thanks a bunch! so that's what you look like?
Rouget, tasty execution!
Tonite's try was done with Static Bristle and Airbrush, and the call went out for tounges:

Thanks ceenda, I like yours too.
You look like a character from Final Fantasy or something. Very cool.
