... The faeries fly the sullen winds on blackened wings, and in the nooks of the branches hide the blackened dust of corpses burned hundreds of years ago.

They say witches hide, here. Lurking among the shadows in the depth of these woods - waiting for the occasional unwary traveller, so that they can slowly devour those innocent souls, and then hide the yellowed bones in the hollow trunks of the trees.

Eshreemn - such a lovely place, but nowhere as lovely as it once was. Before the dark fae, before the witches, before the wars that turned the old forest to dust. It's said that the spirit of the forest was made bitter and restless, then, in those ancient times.

And back to work with me... wish I had more time to put into paintings =[

Nice work Enayla!

Some of the roots seem to be a bit flat and not as rounded as the tree and branches, though I could be wrong about that.

(hehe, would that be a little 'Azrael' hiding in the bottom right?)

Really, really nice. I'd guess that scene is not in one of the drought areas in the USA west where all the fierce forest fires have burned...

The more I look at it, the further it climbs up my list of favorite Enayla pictures... did I say really NICE!!!!

A probably-just-me-thing: the eyes in the hole under the roots shouldn't be there - draws too much attention IMO.
But man - i gotta save this image! This really reminds me of the EViL DEAD movies! The fog and the woman in the woods. I like!
