I remenber your style. You are the one paint a pitiful girl lock in the jel.
You have your style and you catch the mood well. The sword is nice.
You are right. same as last picture I saw. Her hand not holding the sword. |

I suggest shading the face like you did with the hands. The hands are beautifully done but the shading on the face doesn't match :O. I think the hand placement looks fine the way it is. Who says she has to be holding the sword? She could just be clutching it towards herself. |

Thank you very much ChiaNi.
You are right.
I am the one who painted the girl in jail.
The hands are painted this way because I added the sword afterwards.
I thought something was missing....
Upps...didn't see this line-mistake, thank's
Thank's Beowulf.
I can do that by lighten up the face..I think...
You are right on the hands.
Thank's for the replies !!!

Well, not that my feed-back is verry valuable but I like it a lot... It has a great mood in it and it has some kind of expression I can't describe.
Nice work, although I think it might be better when she is actually holding the sword ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Cool texture and value. I definately like that part of the drawing. Unfortuneately the head and hands are usually the most important part and the hands look a little bit mangled. No big deal, hands are tough. Make sure you have some good reference to fix them. Grab somebody and a digital camera. The nose looks a little akward too. I bet with a little more rendering this would be a great portfolio piece. |

Just glancing at the drawing again. . . . The eyes are working very well, she has a great intense stare. Also I think her right hand looks very cool, almost photorealistic. It's more the left hand that isn't working. Blah blah blah, Ill leave you alone now. Keep up the great work. |

Thanks Kari !!!
I had some photos as reference but you see, it didn't work perfectly.
The left hand and nose are a bit off.
Especially the thumb.
It's so hard to get them better - I tryed - failed.
Thank's again for critic and compliments. |

Btw.: visited your homepage.
WOW, your stuff is truly amazing.
I remembered the "endoftheworld" pic which you posted in here some time ago. Great image !!
You also posted some stones in the ( I think )speedpainting thread.
Am I right ? |

Thanks Max that's right. I'm glad someone remembers the rocks I was really into painting rocks but it didn't seem to have an effect.
Shoot, too bad the reference didn't work out. I'm still trying to figure the best way to do reference. Sometimes my reference makes the piece and sometimes it doesn't help at all. If I was finishing the piece I'd do three small things. On the left hand I would shorten the thumb so it looks like the thumb on the right hand, it looks a little long as it is. The middle finger on the left hand looks shorter than all the other finger because of a dark shape. If you look at your hand you'll see that the first finger joints line up closely when you make a fist. I wouldn't worry about changing the pose of the hands. She looks like she is clenching the sword to her chest. The last thing I would do is soften the shadows on the upper bridge of her nose. Pretty girls usually look if you demphasize the nose as much as possible. You want the eyes and lips to be the focus.
It looks like you have some nice head paintings on your site but I got broken links when I clicked on the thumbnails. |

Yo dude,
I actually like the way the hands are. It softens the effect of the image. If she were clutching it, it would add intensity, but as was stated before, the eyes are already intense enough. I guess this is the yin-yang of the image for me.
I love the detail in both the sword and neckless. Was this done in photoshop? Only beef I have with it are the shoulders, but that's a matter of opinion.
Well done dude. |

Thanks Kari !!!
That helped alot.
I changed the thumb the middle finger and the nose.
It looks much better now.
These hints were great !!!
Ups ?!
Sorry for these broken links I will fix them soon.
It's just because I updated my site recently and forgot to link the images right,...
I will send you a privat messege when I have fixed them.
Thanks again for all !!!
Bare: I am very happy you like it.
Yes, everything was done in photoshop 7.
From start to end.
I don't use skeches very often.
Thank you !!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
