Nice. I wonder what a skilled artist could do with a screenshot taken from, let's say, UT2003? |

Thanx guys, The first image is totally 2D, but I used a wireframe persp template for the perspective
Heh, ut2003 is so beautiful so skilled artists are not needed to paint on the screenshots =)
here's one more

Your painting technique's awesome. I really like the values and the lighting effects you've chosen. The thing that's bugging me is that on the first and last paintings, it looks like the perpective is a little off. For example, in the first one, the left wall looks like it's leaning towards us, and the tower looks like it's leaning to the left.
In the last one, on the left wall, as my eye travels up from the bottom of the wall, the lines seem pretty much horizontal until I get to the very top of the wall, where the horizontal line seems to be at a pretty big angle to the others. Am I explaining this well at all? |

Impressive Cap'n!
my only comment would be that the level-looking pics, looks a bit..hmm..sterile..then again they are a big hunk of steel but ..still. heh.
it could be because of all the white-lights used..hmm

At first i thought the first was a very skilled 3d scene, but if it's 2d then it's even more skilled
Congrats to you for being you :0 |

Absolutely amazing again.
One crit: the lens flare.
Well it's painted thats absolutely okay but in the left upper part of the image there is this bright green point.

Thanx Guys!
Ibyrn: Sorry for the persp errors, but I had to make it fast hehe
Binke: I agree with you on the sterile, but that's basically what the guys at work wanted. I was ecperimenting with the lens flare thingy and everything went white, but I left it that way heh...
Shizo, Master o Me, and egg beater: thanks!
Ravaran: nope didn't read it, now I'm curious!
Max Kulich: In fact I put a "real" old Photoshop lensflare there, but I borrowed the colors from it and painted some circles to make it look more hand made...forgot to hide the green point up there hehehe |

You had such great textures in the pic, that it just screamed for some tweaking! here's what i'd do. Quake lighting 4 lyf!
