Working on the new style... I'm a bit unfinished and unsettled with this one...

that's kinda trippy, I like the idea though. took me a while to notice the cat though, but its very true. Its very rough looking, but that's all part of the style so there's really not anything to complain about except maybe put more empathesis on the cat.

I love this new illustration style you've been working on, it's definitely something I would expect to see alongside articles in a big business magazine. Very professional looking.

As for the cat, I missed it at first as well. Perhaps try dragging it further out into the white portion of the piece to up the contrast, or maybe have him sleeping on a small, dark circular rug?

Just ideas, I can't wait to see more of your stuff, I'm loving it.

You're absolutely not shaming yourself with this new style, Phil. It easily would fit into professional magazines.

I'm very impressed by this one. Composition, story, colours, it's all good to me. I'd love if you keep on experimenting this way...

btw: I love your scifi stuffs too & I'm waiting for more. I'm currently working myself on spacecrafts scenes and I enjoyed to follow your steps and improvements on similar futuristic themes...

Simoom and J. Der... thanks for your comments. Actually I wanted the cat to be hard to find - not that hard, but not totally obvious. I even have in mind a short children's book called, "Find the Deaf Cat."

Torstein... hope you're right. I'm developing a list of magazine art directors to send samples to. Guess I'll find out, eh!

ELLioT... Thanks... I'm going to stick with this style for a while. My bank account is screaming at me to make a living and I've never been very successful at selling my SF/Fantasy stuff... I'm hoping this will work better...

That moon is nice just cropped on it's own. It would make a cool wallpaper.
