I think it's more important what you draw than how well you render it. Despite the time I spent on this it still ended up looking uninteresting because of the subject and composition.
4 inch 'Frazetta painting wannabe' thumbnail sketch I don't dare to color yet as the scenery is too complex for my feeble skills. Feel free to give it a shot.

DOn't worry, I am sending a check to Syd tomorrow.
Silber, glad you liked that one. It was a little different for me. I know I can render something OK but trying to be more graphic. It will feed back into other stuff and make it stronger.
Andromeda- I use the brushes that come with PS 7. I think it is called an oil pastel or something close.
