Wow, I like that alot! Almost has an old b&w photo style look to it. Started using charcoals at a life drawing class recently. They're nice because they kinda force you to be bold and trust your instincts without going back and forth (heh, no Ctrl-Z).

I don't know what the story is here. They look similar don't they.
I'm led to believe that maybe Craig did that art for Combat Medic... I wouldn't know of course.

I'm quite sure the poster was made from Craig's picture.... If you look at the blurred color variations in the white background cross on the poster, they match the same (in focus) variations on Craig's upload.

I think there's absolutely no doubt, that that poster is made from taking Craig's painting and adding a filter over it with text.

He doesn't plagerize, people plagerize using his stuff.. Like that guy, Gaby Reiser I think his name was, getting a job using Craig's stuff with his signature over.

Well, here's my weak attempt at a speed pic:

No doubt at all. But did Craig do this pic for them, or did they steal it?

Btw, here's a quickie I finished.

Edit: Forgot to mention that the charcoal pic is great, Craig. Which makes me wonder: Is there any type of media you can't work with, or at least don't like to use? Anything that leaves a dusty substance on my hands makes me grind my teeth so I've always stayed away from charcoal and pastels.

Well I wouldn't let the one-post-wonder turn this thread into a debate. That pic has 'Craig Mullins' painted all over it. Let the speedpainting continue...

Heh I love all this stuff. Hardcore you rock man. Spooge and NoXizMaD, you guys rock too.
And lets not forget Gecko. There's all sorts of other good artists here too but I don't have the time to tell everybody that they rock.
Well you guys inspired me to try my hand at some digital painting. So this is waht I came up with.

It took me about 4 hours (I know it's not speed painting but it's me first try.)
I used Photoshop 6 and my mouse.
Hope you all like it.

Here's one of my sketches that I played with in photoshop. I mainly just used the eraser.
Took me about an hour.

dolt is a funny word.

HCPixxX, you rock also. I like the stylish stuff you tried there, especially the third one. It looks really realistic and smooth, until you look close up and see the rough hatching.

The combat medic cover was done by me for legacy, or more properly, Vivendi universal.

This screen name is for posting when I am on my mac. Spooge Demon does not log in on this computer for some reason.

Check the link to the below image to see that it is me. nuffsaid, lesstalk, more painting.

nox, looks done to me....

Hey Spooge,

I was surfing around yesterday and came across an artical where Rich Wilkes has been hired by Sony's Columbia Pictures to adapt the Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the big screen.

Do you think you'll be asked (or already contacted perhaps) to do some work for the film?
