Vhy, for the shading on the back it looks like charcoal on watercolour paper. Did you use natural brushes? Nice |

bang, head mass larger, space occupied by features, smaller. Your eyes are going too far out and up, generally.

Oblagon: No, I don't think there are nearly enough clashing colors in those shoes for today's standards
Dr. Bang: Were you here for the head drawing tutorial? I practiced it for quite some time. Made noticable improvement although I still have trouble at times with getting the eyes to sit in the head right and not look like they are stickers put on a round head-shape thing sometimes. In Painter the same tool that moves a layer around will duplicate the layer if you hold alt(option) and click. |

you can also use "ctrl + C" ; "ctrl + V" on the layer palette (apple instead of ctrl of course if you re using a mac)

The keyboard shortcut listed for duplicating a layer is to alt-click with the layer tool thing. "Keyboard shortcut" might be a slight misnomer in this case, but hey, it's Painter ^_~
I usually just ctrl-c/ctrl-v myself, but for some reason I remembered the pasted layers being misaligned sometimes when I did that, and having to set the x/y offset manually to fix it. But maybe I'm crazy, since I can't seem to make it happen now.

spooge: man the last two of your non, watercolour pieces look soooooooo real! I guess it's the values that make it look even more real than a photo. The black and white man looks like a photo, but the landscape above me really looks more like life. Awesome. |
