the 1st pic has a shiny metallic look. the 2nd a more worn, lustreless (lustreless?) look. i'm scared. just kidding.

For this particular image, I think I'll leave the texture off. More <i>mysterious?</i> Hmmm, no, I don't know if that's the word I'd use, but anyway... I like the drastic level of contrast between the whites and blacks. More UNUSUAL. That's how I'd describe it.

Haha, I got a little bored last night. This piece is lacking texture, I know. I'm currently using photoshop 6... does anyone have any pointers, texture-wise? Sorry, I'm still new at this.

ANYhoo, I think the title of this one justifies the smudgy, liquified look.

Cool pic.
Your style is really nice.

For texture you should use the "pencil tool"
Make a new layer ( multiply ) and make strokes with opasity10 and brushsize36.
Then you can add some detail with the 1pxl brush.

Here a quick overpaint to show you what I mean. Cause it's hard to describe exactly.



Hope that halps a bit.
