Hi all. I started with a quick painting for Gecko's thread but it turned into the different thing so I post it here:

Wonderful landcape. I like the idea of floating islands. Right hand side kind of busy. If you can make someting at left side to balance the picture. Maybe move the Island little bid left. (Just my eye.) I like it a lot. color is great.

'Tis absolutely gorgeous. Those floating islands remind me of the zeal kingdom from the SNES game chrono trigger(one of the best video games in the world imho).

The pain-in-the-ass-part: I think the lightsource to the right is a tad too bright to be just the sun. You almost squint when looking at it. Looks more like a giant xenon-flash, maybe tone it down? Don't take this too seriously though, I'm not a pro.

Anyways, excellent work. Keep it up!

/m

Tha clouds are truly a grandiosity.
I only agrre with allfiction on the lightthing.
But I don't feel qualified to be suggesting anything to you.
You are so GOOD.

Love this pic.

And Leo, you've got some great art on your site, I dont know why you haven't been posting it! Like the airship, or the colorful guy standing under the big metal structure. Don't be shy, post them.

Hey thanks for the comments everyone!

Sumaleth: it's already been posted on other places, too much I think. But glad that you like them!

Max: feel free to suggest whatever you think, I'm not a monster heh-heh. And my skills are faaar away from perfect. I did it quite fast (less then 5 hours), so there are lot's of ways for improvement.

Elephant: original res is just a bit higher (914x680).

allfiction: no problem, I'm not a pro too.

Hunago: "Laputa" is a floating island in Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels". Also "Laputa" is actually a (really) bad word in Spanish.
