Created for use on a flyer for my girlfriend and her travelling childrens theater act.
Detail:
Where you can see that the chain is a piece of cr*p...
Comments? Suggestions? Whatever

yeah what Lomi said. The dark drapes and metal cage/chain make the pic look quite forbidding. What was the Act about though?
I think the part chain that's directly under the sunlight might lose some of its black outlines,
nice details and textures. |

the hue of the light on the floor makes it look more like late afternoon sunlight rather than a spot light...

Update:
I don't know how dark this is when viewed in the browser...
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Lomi: The agegroup is supposed to lie between 9 and 13 so I guess it wouldn't be too big of a problem with the darkness. I agree with you how ever and have tried to lighten it a bit while still maintaining the mystic atmosphere. Oh, and the play is kind of sad also (lucky me)
Hunago: Thanks! Even though I've lightened up the image a bit, I'm shure it could have been less forbidding, yeah. But there's no time left to make such alterations sadly..
The chain should be 'slightly' better now, but I'm still not satisfied.
The play is about the dissaperance of the greatest magician of all time. Two detectives enter the story trying to find out what happened, and where Gorgons' (the lost magician) great book of secrets is. Old friends, oracles and mistresses are peripheral characters.
Awetopsy: Hmmmm. I tried to fix that..but it seemed rather futile. Thanks anyways
I'll post the final flyer when I'm done, for those who are interrested.

I think it would work better if it was sunlight, as if it was a magicaian in a traveling carnival. However, the light on the ground is that a layer effect? if so I think the over all edges are a little extreme. Plus you have two lengths of chain throught the shadow however only one looks like it is in the shadow. *[Bb does that make sense? Yes, i does. Oh, okay I just wanted to make sure.]* |
