hey y'all...thought i'd post some art i did lately...i am finally getting back to doing art for myself thats not work related. i realized doing work art only for 3 years SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ME.

the first one i did on monday when i got into work and really didnt want to do anything. the second one i did early this year sometime..or maybe last year.

here are the two pics:

hope you like them

hi Dhabih
i`m new here so i`ll just post a little crit..........
nice work........the second looks kind of surreal......cool the way you`ve created him hollow, nice that but the left shoulder does look a little bit low and too far out........the first is good work, lovely values on that........

hope that`s ok.....

Hmm, maybe I'll post something worthwhile...

I really like the muscle definition in the first image. My first reation was that it looks like the anatomical studies of Renaissance masters, particularly Buonarotti and DaVinci.

i hate to waste a post just for saying woohoo. but there. woohoo.

Nice pics Dhab. i like the color bleeding and vibrancy of the second pic.. and the lower part of the first one is very well done, has a very tactile quality to it
good to have you back!

I was joking around that you only come around when the board goes down, Dhabih. But you posted artwork!

Nice stuff. I really like that lighting on the second one. That red looks evil.

Back in action, huh?
Anyway, I like them both.
The first one looks great with the muscle detailing and then second one has nice colors and idea.

"i realized doing work art only for 3 years SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ME."

I absolutely and totally agree with you on that. Nice pics, really like the bottom one -- nice play on the specular. And, above all else, welcome back.

Cheers,
Frost.

Man, it's good to see you're still in the game Dhabih! I've been a fanboy of yours since I first took interest in digital art. And seeing that this is your first post here since I joined up on _your fantastic board_ ( ), this really is good news.
Great images as usual.
Oh, and thanks for repairing the board so quickly!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe my eyes!

Is this gonna become a more regular thing, Dhab? I hope so.

I really like the second image too. Like Frost mentioned, great job with the specular highlights. I love the mouth. Very cool.

Hi, its great to see you finally post art again after such a long time!

Both pics are great, I like surreal stuff. No clue why but it reminds me of sylvester stallone.

Are you using Photoshop 7?
