Contribution for the D**w C**b, thought I'd post it here and try to get some feedback. This is my first proper digital image in well over a year, aside from that 20-minute sketch in the speedpainting thread. Let me know what you think.

Ahah very cool Tinusch..

Man, Ron Howard has really let himself go lately, hasn't he? You might want to sharpen/lighten/expand on the inflatable doll specular, it somehow doesn't seem 'plasticy' enough. Maybe some wrinkles/folds in the 'seams'

And i'm not even going to touch the anatomy of that guy because i'm pretty sure you got what you wanted

Nice hearts in the background btw.. heh!

nice one Tinusch.. i know i've said this before but you really are improving constantly.
i like the design of the doll- it's kinky yet naiive. i second napalm's wrinkles in the seams tip.
the man looks great, but i think he could use some darker shadows under his nose, chin, etc .

napalm - Thanks. It does kind of look like Ron Howard doesn't it... I tried to make the doll as shiny as possible without going to pure white. I didn't want to wash it out. That yellow is the brightest color I used. I do think those wrinkles and folds would do a lot to furhter the plastic/vinyl effect.

EviLToYLeT - Do I sense animosity toward the rocketbaby? Glad to know I'm improving, although I really haven't touched digital very much since the rocketbaby. The black lines were a quick stroke added as an afterthought, but I liked the effect.

Bilbo - Thanks a lot, good to hear from you again. You're still leaps and bounds ahead of me, but you're a huge inspiration nonetheless. I agree, those wrinkles would help immensely. I also agree about the dark shadows. The whole thing lacked contrast originally, I think my darkest shade was a purple midtone used for the guy's shadows. I fiddled with the contrast afterward to liven it up, but I could go back and add some more.
