I was visiting a gallery at the Universty the other day. And this artist had this series of oil paintings of found objects, and he made them out to be these different places. An idea I am facinated about the idea of bringing something or a place inside is stimulating. Then taking objects puting them together and telling us they are something they are not. Wow, so I have started a simular series, to teach myself freedom. To liberate me, in creative thinking. And to do the same things over and over, differently each time.

some are done, others not, some suck, others not so much. some for trash, some not.CC if you like.

Hi Bb,

Interesting concept, certainly. On the pyramids, they actually look like prisms to me, as opposed to pyramids, per se, but it makes little difference. Planning more pieces? Intend to finish these up, as well?

hey--just echoing TOONZ,..the pyramids might look more like pyramids if they were more...umm...more of a square at the base if that makes sense--i like the mood set by the colors in the third pyramid piece--i like the concept i think i might give this a shot

the idea is fun but the paintings leave a little to be desired. I liked your the photos you showed me better. Also, work on your perspective, that is something that's taking away correct dimensionality in your paintings. Other than that, keep it up!

My wife has been doing something very similar the past year. She would bring all sorts of stuff home that she found on the streets. Quite annoying since we live in a one room appartement.
Anyways.. she would paint them, use them to make prints, reliefs and landscapes inside little boxes.
It's a fun concept that can take you many ways.

cptoons, insider- I AM TELLING YOU THEY ARE PYRAMIDS!! The idea is to have something that reminds you, but not be the thing. The intention is not to create small models.

Spooks Ouch, my left nut. I like some of the photos too . Experimenting here. Yeah. Lots to come.

edraket- Nice. I want to stir up some creativity. If it does not yeld something great, so be it. Just want to have fun with it.
