These are two out of 7 images i did for an upcoming album from an austrian gothic band. The drawings were done with pencil on paper, the beackground is real mixed media (acrylic, pen, pencil, collage) on paper. All the colors for the girls are done in Phostoshop 7 as is all of the correction work. They wanted a very rough sketchy style for the work. c&c welcome. The whole CD-Artwork will be posted on my website when the album is released.

I really the coloration of the first pic.
It flows pretty nicely in my eyes, and I'm a huge fan of the sketchy style.
Call me crazy, but the nipples in the second pic are a bit distracting. The red/maroon is just kind of *BAM* out there in an island of beige.

Is that first pic inspired by Maclachi's latest image?
The background is very similar, as is the pose, and the way you mixed the medias.
I think that it is very well achieved, I'm just wonderin' if Malachi played a role in inspiring that piece. |

Hmm sorry, i do not now Maclachi nor can i remember to have seen some of his works. My main inspiration were the pictures from Egon Schiele whom i like very much (not as much as Otto Dix of course:-)
The sketches were done with the help of a real model.
Here are all 7 of the pencil drawings:
And for the nipple thing: I just could not resist:-) But true, it's really a bit too obvious.

@Sharper Image: Ahhh i think i get it now. Do you mean Malachi? He is the guy with the pin-ups.
If that's what you were thinking of i can say that my work was already finished when i first came here to post. So no influence at all, although i like his work, even if it's too photorealistic for my taste.
