well, if my memory serves me well, I step out on the balcony on a really ugly day and took a pic , then I reworked it quite a bit digitally... I almost always use real clouds pics I take and/or mix them with render ones.

The dragon and the aura are where the most work is ... took some time to achieve the effect I really wanted.

Great CG but i must say...i really hate the Dragonball-Z:ish look of the character (no offence). Take a look at Rah Xephon or Full Metal Panic, both relatively new and both gorgeously drawn (IMHO). However it's a matter of taste so don't let me get to you too much.

Well, the DBZ resemblence is normal I guess, since I'm a huge fan and that's how I started drawing, by watching DBZ and making my own pictures from the heroes of this anime. I'm also strongly inspired by Saint Seiya, though not much in the face look, more in the hair and armors...
