A friend asked me to illustrate a birthday card for his 'brother-in-law-to-be'. That guy has a thing for fish, so my buddy came up with this slightly cruel concept of using a fish instead of a cake, while indicating that his present would be a gift-coupon of 50 euro for some new aquarium-fish. And since I haven't posted here in quite some time, I thought I could as well show these.
This is going to be the cover of the card:
And this is the image that's supposed to make some people gulp... =/
Both were done during three short night sessions, so I'm sure there are a lot of flaws. But the job is done and the 'customer' was satisfied, so I'm gonna call this finished...
C&C are very welcome. Also, what do you guys think: Is it inappropriate to use that sort of image for a birthday card? |

I particularly like the expresions of the fish.
The whole thing is prety odd. Thats a plus to me. |
