Wow ... what's going on here? I hardly recognize sijun anymore. There are technical posts in 'random musings', there are random musings in the digital art discussion, everybody seems upset and mad. Enyala quits - understandably.

People post rules left and right that of course no one will follow and Dhabih doesn't seem to be around anymore.

People then forget what it all really is about: Digital Art. Digital painting specifically.

Don't waste your energy with talking each other in the ground. Start up your favourite program and go for it - give yourselves a break.

I also wonder how many of you venture outside?. I believe this generation needs to step into nature once and awhile.

The grass is greener outside.....how would you know, when you spend your time on a forum with strangers and interact via words on a screen.

In the grand universal scheme of ALL THAT IS, how relevant is a 'internet forum argument'?.

Come on, some of us are just trying to get this place in order so it IS once again about digital art.

Instead of pointing out that the Forum no longer has focus, why don't you guys help out a bit??? Threads like this one are empty. Dhabih has let this place go adrdift, and SOMEBODY needs to take care of it. It's all chaotic and surly right now.

Why don't you use your "vacations" to help bring back the fun of this board, and post a beaver to my thread in FG, or something?

The fact that you all wandered off instead of trying to fix what is here, & the fact that Lumental has a "members only" policy and muiltiple moderators make your comments seem watery and, yes, eletist. Dude ... I appreciate your efforts, honestly, but realize - they're futile.
Now, before you rip my head off, let me tell you that I have seen this before. The only thing one can do is stepping back til things quiet down a little bit. Fighting the fight only upsets things even more.

I know, Red Leader, that you hate to see this place going down, but there are too many people on it for it to be controlled through reason.

I'm not going to lay in to you...but I still say it's easy to say your piece from your vantage point in the" tower over the rabble."

I want to belong to a digital forum that is not in such dissaray that I can't post an image and get intelligent crits from other professionals and skilled artists. Not just a group exclusively made up of highschool students, because most of the good artists were too tired of this shit and left. What else is there to do but try?

That said, I really do have better things to do with my time.
I'm going to pull back a bit for a few days.
Nothing is going to happen here anyway if Dhabih never checks in.

But seriously.. Loki and I have seen this come and go like crazy. We both have made attempts to straighten things out on several occasions. I think we both have just gotten to the point to just let things go. So while the effort is valiant it just doesn't do anything unless we can enforce things. I think we all should do what we can, I know that I will. I love this place, Ive done that since the day I first saw this place (back in 98), if I can do ANYTHING to help I surely will do it too. I will not run away and start another forum, and I wont be invited to "another" one either. Ill do my best here and give people crits and try to make people "behave", in a friendly manor.

I'll drink a shot of Tequila to that Loki. It also seems that we all get a break since Dhabih is going to take the forum down for a few weeks to sort things out. I think it will be nice, a bit quieter and more time for painting and drawing.

'Enayla - good for you. Moderating this bullshat of late wouldn't be a healthy experience. The only real 'problem' with the forum right now seems to be that it's full of arbitrary complaints. And when you have time for all this ponderance and pontification, people... it seems rather obvious that you are not spending your time on art.
