I posted theese before but was forced to buy a domain, so hopefully there won't be any problems diplaying them from now on.
Theese are a few of my old pencil concepts, some go back as far as highschool (93-94). I don't draw or design as much as I'd like to anymore, (I'm busy matte painting) but I sure get a good feeling when I look at theese old pieaces so I'll probably get back into it more often and share them with the community here. I'll post some more as I dig them up from my archives. Anyhow, I'v scanned them at high resollution and put the up quite large for you to enjoy.
I look forward to questions and comments.
This one is suppose to be a concept of an egyptian pyramide builder from the future.
A head concept for a tamed rancor beast-like creature.
... controlling device sketch for another beast.

your matte painting looks very realistic crazybread, with a horrible amount of detail on it , how long did it took you to paint it? |

WOW thank you guys. I'm blushing.
Snorkles: I started drawing seriously in gr. 8. Although I was obsessed with medevil weapons as a kid, and had this little book where I would design weapons (I wonder if my grandma would still have that arround???)
blok: Actually its a 3d matte. Created in maya, so you could rotate arround it and with a little after effects your animation would look like that render you see above. Its done using projection mapping and rendered using image based rendering technique so 720x486 frame renders in about 8 sec.
here is a wireframe screen shot:
gigatron: I love shadows. Whats overshading??? If you think it feels and looks good, keep doing it. I Just turned 26
Oblagon: I like that! I'm really curious How you knew that I'm...
Frost:
Ecanem:
did I already say I was
blushing! Thanx Guys!
GUYJIN: nicely put! you're too kind

cholera
shit, fuck, damn No direct translation possible. It can also mean the disease 'cholera.'
cholera jasna
expletive Stronger than 'cholera.' 'Ch' pronounced as in 'loch.' 'J' pronounced like the english 'y.'

Goddamit, that's some mighty fine pencil work there. Looking at your high school work makes me think the talent that God has bestowed into some of his children.
You've got great understanding on the treatment of light and shadow! But I would love to see more work from you though. A painting or a finished pencil illustration perhaps? Blow us all away! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

It doesnt seem like my *Command=Suck At Art* button is working. Damn, now I have to look at some of the most amazing things I have ever seen done. Uhm, the pencil you did in highschoool, I think a little too much is hanging out... I dunno.
Also, did you say that was a painting? Becuase I think its a picture. |

here's another animal. This one has some structural and compositional problems as to the design of the creature. I'd always wanted to see big creatures like this mixed with somekind of preasure-plate hydraulic soles (I hope I'm not sounding too cheesy)
