Hey all - back again. This drawing was done in a little bit of a hurry and finished, well, prematurely? Whatever, no excuses here, but I think the cop-out on the legs is obvious (more anatomy for me!).
Tried to give the face more character this time. Hope you guys like it.
Lemme know what you think! Thanks in advance and for all the encouragement on the other posts...
c + c, as usual, encouraged.

Great wrok Joe.
I like your simple rendering, gives a nice effect.
the whole picture looks pretty solid nothing stands out as being awkward.
I'd like to see some feet, and some colour ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Hey again.
Nice stuff, not as good as your others though imo. The legs definetely need work, he looks like a she in that department. The hips are really feminine.
I like the texture on the backs of the arms, that is a nice addition. I don't know whether you were intending for the claws to be the same size or not, they look different to me.
I have to go eat dinner now, overall there isn't much more to crit. I'll quickly list thigns you could improve:
Teeth.
Line weight, some more work in areas.
Hair, it looks a lite bit detached atm.
His Right shoulder and bicep brachii look a litte small.

Very cool. I agree about the hips- just a bit thick, otherwise it is awesome. |

I think his breast muscles could be a bit longer vertically... But it looks fine like that as well, reminds me of gargoyles for some reason. Good job. |

nice drawing but his right leg looks like its been in a terrible accident, his whole leg appears to be faced directly at us while the rest of his body is at a different angle, it just throws the picture off. |

Hey hey, not sure if you guys will even see this but thanks for all the crit and encouragement. Ian, once again, you are the unrelenting opinion, thank you. All comments heeded - except about his head/hair, I like it!
ArcPello I hear you about the legs. I couldn't pick a pose and it just came out wierd (the intent was to make him look bow-legged). I need LOTS more lowerbod anatomy. Maybe sketches/gestures would have helped before I started drawing.
Anyway, thanks again all and see you next post.

I really admire the first half of the body including the arms and claws ofcoz. The legs make the thing kinda feminine, im sure that wasnt your intention in the first place, right? |

not my intention but not surprising since I've practiced the female form more than the male... I can't seem to make sense of hips without making them wide. Hopefully something I'm going to get over with more anatomy
thx for compliments ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
