Stunning, absolutely stunning. One thing though: Maybe the horse should cast a stronger shadow on the ground? Although the very light shadow does suit the feeling in the image. Uh, and the horse's legs look a tad bit off (like its right hind leg was almost in the same level as its left front leg, even if judging by the body they're not) but you don't notice that one easily (I only noticed it while viewing the image in that small box below the reply, where i saw it in two parts).
Lovely use of colours, especially with the clouds and the lighting. Very athmospheric, too. |

WOW! nice....
Very cool use of palette, it really makes the atmosphere, that and the volumetrics... cool.
I think you should work a little more on the background and those foreground elements like the swords and the skulls (cheesy alert!).
The skulls look cliche because they appear very 'placed' and they all face upwards with jawbones relatively intact, also they appear without an obvious relation to any other bones. spines or other bones? It would also be nice to see maybe some chipping of the bone surface. The cranium is made up of several layers I think, so strip away some little fragments from the upper layer... that always looks nice to make them weathered. You could also take a gash out of one or two, like an axe hit them or something. They need to look a little more dirty too, with varitaions of local colour and value to add a sense of realism.
What are those white lines on the ground? They seem pointless and kinda distracting.
Overall it is very nice! fantastic job! |

In the midst of all the trashy, hacked out work that suffocates this forum nowadays, this is a superbly refreshing change. Please post more.
