Hey there. Been unactive here lately. I'm playing lotsa warcraft3 so I don't have time for anything else
but, here are some paintings for the same game as I've posted from earlier and also micke posted his from recenlty. I hate some of these, but we have to paint a whole lot of them quickly so it's not always time for nitpicking. Hope you like some of the anyway....

Those cave pics just rock! I especially dig the first one, as your eye slowly gets directed to the light source to the left. Very powerful! And I know what you mean by Warcraft3, it really disrupts the work flow at the office Night Elves RULE!

impressive work Joachim, as usual.... do you use scanned images for the rock textures.... and if so what do you do to get the feel that they distort around the form?? (I know of some huge time consuming ways to get it done, but I'm curious if you have a quick workaround) I'm doing some very similar work right now, (multiple background paintings for X-Box cinemas) and it wares you down after awhile..

any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.. thanks and good luck with your project... looks like a winner so far

Nice work Joachim! Nice lighting and scene setups. Same for you Micke, but, I won't repeat this phrase in your thread. =)

Great! as usual

one thing i've noticed though with your cave-paintings, is that some of them tend to look a little flat. I think it might have todo with your texture-layers being applied on them.. not sure though.

Yes, the cave ones do rock. But my eyes keep going back to that winter scene with the red wood house on the side. I don't know what it is exactly but I find that one the most interesting to look at.
