Looks good to me.
I like the colors, especially on the 2nd image. |

hey like them- very warm feeling
-as you said colors differ from original so my only crit is that they look a bit compresed...(right word?)
The people on the pictures are both cuted away from 2 and 4 sides of the canvase, like a close up or something.
I think it would be nicer if there would be at least one side of the canvase where they arent cuted away....(don't know if that was any english at all)
hope you know what I mean.
Just let the people space for breathing

gosh darn it, aint that gorgeous.
your colours are just awesome. the feel of the paintings is so inviting and warm.
dunno what to say for advice except maybe more detail on just the faces if youd like to try some valquez (bad spelling) style.
but i love your brush strokes, your current style works with me.
keep it up |

Thanks a lot people or the kind words.
Mannela: great!
Silber: i know what you mean, i started this as a exercise on oils and used phots as reference and this was the way it was cut on the photos. True a painting should have more play with composition.
Moloko: wow, thanks. I've been to madrid this summer to see Velazquez and Sargent. Velazquez didn't touch me like Sargent did. There was also McInnes who made a big impression on me.
Artemio: much appreciated.
J Bradford: Thx, it is my 4th painting in oil, i am trying to learn how to work with it. |
