Hello everyone, I'm new to this board. I've seen some ruthless, and extremely valid critiques I must say on this board, so this looks like the place for me to post, I can take anything ! Just want to get better

For my 1st post here, 2 pieces I created while learning Painter Classic (that program comes free with the Wacom tablet)

Here's an exercise that turned into a completed picture, photo reference used. I was working on the color & value.

This one is a texture background for a digital painting, but I consider the texture background itself as a completed piece, I mean it could be a texture work for some 3d game. Used some Brom's paintings for reference. Also Painter Classic.

Cheers

I like it. The concrete slab is wonderful, and yes being a 3d modeler, I would completely use that, though, not tilable. It would have to be for a single area at high res.

The forest is very clean. Great focal point, consistant and atmosheric. Post card quality. What else can be said.

By the way...I'm new here, and plan to post more PS work than handdrawn....well, actually, a bit of both combined and mixed.

Welcome to me and you.

welcome to Sijun!

and nice works you got there.
one suggestion:
the tees look flat. i believe that the bark should have a finer texture. more finer than the leaves i guess.
other than that i believe you have some solid pics.

keep it up
