So many people had been telling me to make a comic. I didn't have a story though, so what's the use! Gah! Then I read The Chronicles of Narnia for the first time. I love those books so much, and because of that love, I've decided I want to make a comic. The only thing now is getting permission from the CS Lewis company to publish it on the internet ( its not for profit, but I want everything to be cool anyway)
Here's the teaser
2 pages are finished now. Its really easy when all the writing is done for you, with clever british attributes all woven in. |

agh.. I wanna read it!!! please let me read it!!
I seriously cant wait.
anyways i like the trees. They look like trees to me but the text I find a little hard to distinguish. especially the smaller text in the middles "Maglelans" or whatever that word is. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Isric I love your your art, always have :P
I havent read narnia (always tought of them of being girl books). But i love the idea of you doing a comic! its sounds awsome, it definitly suits your style...
As a big fan of warren ellis, it would be damn cool to see what you can do with one of his scripts..
But ill definitly read narnia if its illustrated by you =]
Me want more!!

Haha, it says Magician's. I can see it just fine. I really like those trees... You have a knack for making your linework come alive. Can't wait to see the rest of this. |

Awetopsy- thanks, and I added a bit of a white edge to hopefully clear that up. Does that help?
I figure if you can't read it, others won't either.
2Fan- read narnia. I can't stress that enough, read it read it read it. If I have to illustrate it for you, so be it, but in the mean time, read it! They're fantastic!
Tinusch- I haven't seen your name in literally a year. Good to hear from you, thanks |

here comes another wow. (wow).
i am always amazed by the efficiency of your lines and how effortless it all seems.. incredible.
my tiny crit is that this small round thing near the right of "narnia" headline is too far away from the text, for a second i thought it was an important part of the image itself. |

Isric: I was going to add another style compliment, but that goes without saying. I think it's great that your doing these Narnia comics. You've got the whole mystic forest feel to it. I think the cutoff between the water and the grass is perhaps a bit too clean. Anyway, keep up posted. Lewis is a great author. Intruiging theologian too.

I see that all the pen and ink work from foundation hasn't scared you off yet.
Look sweet as hell and if I don't see those pages online I'll wrestle them out of you in september. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Feul: If you have read the book you realize that the way that he illustrated it is exactly how the place is described. Basicially a forest with pools of water all over the place.
The interest in the piece doesn't really come from the scene he represented, but in the way he chose to represent it. The use of lines of varying thickness and the way he captured the overall feel of the scene is what makes this a great picture and not just the interest that the scene captures trying to be a "thing of beauty". |

What's freaky to me is that I was almost willing to say that I've either seen this image before long time ago or that you have copied it from someone elses illustration. But I think I realize now it is just because that is how I pictured the place in my head almost exactly like that when reading the book.
I loved those books. I've read through them 2 1/2 times. The spines on the books area bit bit cracked now. They were a great escape. |

faeklone: i see.
I don't know the book so I just added the comment to the picture itself which seemed empty to me. If I find it I will risk a look however. |
