Hi again folks, well this is the same drawing of Frodo that many of you have already seen, but I painted over with photoshop just as an experiment. This is my third painting using photoshop. Still don't have a tablet, still clueless about PS but still fun!

Hey, you really know how to capture the facial features of the characters! Great job!

While this might be your style, I suggest more contrast! ie.using darker colors
... in theory at least.

Argh, I can but applaude your efforts in that case.

Like Trance-R said, you really know how to capture the facial features of the characters.

I checked out the Star Wars section of your page as well, and heck, even the concept sketches for Ep III look like the actors, and with Anakin having lost like all of his hair, that's not an easy thing

I like the LoTR pictures in particular though, since I must say they have the overall best anatomy I've seen from you as well.

Yah, I've pretty much looked at all your posts and have to say, uh... you're pretty damn good. Love the colors, love the line work, even love the parchment backgrounds. Well whacha gonna do, more sweet art I guess. Oh, and your art is good enough that I would suggest switching to a web server(maybe bite the bullet and pay) that won't make people insane with the amount of pop-up windows we get assaulted with, It makes it hard to enjoy your work properly.

Lolion: Hey thanks for the kind words! Yeah I still have lots to learn about photoshop, I don't know what 80% of the tools/stuff is for. I think I might take a class sooner or later.

Thanks everyone again. Couple of new things, no more pesky ads on my site, so have no fear folks (still takes a while to load though :P) And I have up a new Aragorn painting, which I'll just mention here, instead of cluttering the board with a new thread. Cheers!
