It belongs to somebody else?

If it's his, it would angle more toward the elbow, just below the upper arm. Right now, it's coming from his navel (oh, the el-bow's connected to the... nay-vel).

I love the amount of contrast that you used. Don't be lazy with a background though. Also-- I think his hand is a bit too large, but that might just be me.

Hi Neff,

Good work...he looks like he's burnt out, and yet contemplating "going back out into the cold"...you konw that cool spy jargon for going back into the field, or whatever

Anyway, I'll toss in here, you have gotten some great C&C already, perhaps, I can add...something

Your fix is a good start, but notice in egerie's "redline" how his wrist and forearm are sloping back across his chest. You've got the rotation angle down, but the forearm is still parallel to the plane of the page...instead it needs to angle backwards "into" the page towards the elbow. Great CG coloring and the contrast is just cool! I would agree just a bit of a BG would bring it all together, IMHO. Keep it up!

Hey there NeFF,

I find all the talk about the hand not meeting the elbow etc a little confusing, as I see the main issue with the (visible) anbatomy on the right hand side of the image - the character's chest and upper arm.
Here's a crude repaint - you can see what I mean when you compare to the original.

BTW: A couple of body-builder magazines make great reference for this kind of image!

the drawings look nice, especially now that you've fixed the arm in the first one. I like the glass on the second one... But the thing I'm wondering is, why does it have a different url on the image than the one that's marked in your signature? Maybe I'm just too suspicious... Was it a commission? I mean the http://www.phase2.org url on the second pic.

Sorry... just a bit of art thievery has been going on lately on a few forums I visit
