really love the idea!
I like the stance, only critique is that the skull is just a bit to small as far as the forehead to occipital bone.
but great anyway

Totally liking this.
Okay, I think everyone's mentioned the anatomy issue(s) with the skull, so I'll try to leave that out
One of the, to me, best things about the picture would be the use of cool/warm colors, because in this case they really mix almost perfectly.
Favorite part? I'd have to say the bold intertwining orange lines on his arm.
Very inspiring! |

I gotta agree with everyone else, this is a cool idea. Nicely executed too. Another Idea would be to try someone who has been electricuted, like in cartoons. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

I'm noticing the wacomic (word?) style to your stuff and it's really impressive. With that big satan pic you captured all the textures but it still had the look and feel of a sketch. Same with the gasmask image and giant chained beast.
Here, that sketchiness wants to ruin the image, because when people see skeletons or anatomy, they expect a certain illustration -- usually digital imaging or 3D manipulation a la those bazillions of stupid trendy skeleton commercials. But this is digital, and as your eye flits around you see that, and then you wonder how you ever got those transparent effects or even, like that fellow above said, the warm/cool coloring. And it's really cool.
Keep on drawing!

One other crit, when you view the image small-size (like at DeviantArt) the framing feels too spacey. There's too much emptiness around him and above him -- making him feel really short. I'd recommend cropping the top to keep the eyes on his chest and head, but not higher.
Awesome awesome stuff. |

Its ever since i dumped Paint Shop Pro and picked up Painter 7 that things have really picked up for my work, the brushes and effects are a godsend to me, plus i seem to work 3 times as fast in Painter than i did in PSP which is nice.
Hey bee, yeah i wasnt exactly going for a perfectly rendered human figure, all i wanted was a notion of being able to see within with the energy running through the viens, i wa also a bit concerned about the guy being a bt small in the final image but for some reason i love the background and could get rid of it oh well.
thanx guys, ill keep on trucken ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |
