Please don't post adverts in the gallery.
Also, you should consider mentioning how much, approximately, you would be willing to pay a contracter, even if it's only a rough estimate ($1400 a page doesn't seem unreasonable). |

When you post it in every forum, it is considered SPAM.
You may also want to consider using proper spelling and grammar if you're trying to come off as a major business venture. |

Shinobi X,
Surely you can see that it is massively bad karma to solicit copycat work. The if there's paying work to be done in a well known artist's own unique style, then the gig should go tho the original artist. If you can't afford that artist's services, then you should choose a more affordable style, not solicit cheap imitations.

he said "i want someone who can paint realisticly like this guy" |

Wa-Hey! It's he Canadian contingent! Three posts from Canada in a row.
Well, I didn't put it like that, Phish. I'm remembering what Spooge had wrote about the illustrator Drew Struzan- he had developed a distinctive style that became very popular. So popular, in fact that he became imitated out of a lot of business. The same happened to hardware illustrator Chris Foss. Chris Foss is a sci-fi cover artist from the UK. He pioneered a style that instantly became /de rigeur/ for covers in the late 70's. Of course lots of publishers were too cheap to pay for a real Foss, so an army of clones sprang up and swiped the jobs.

I am curious as to whether or not Mr. Mullins has been contacted for this project? In addition, if the project has its own penciller, then why are Feng's works being used as an example for "the tight pencilled drawing"...just curious, you know...since their work has been linked to, and it is not clear that either has been contacted...and also, could you share some of your crack? It must be good |

Greetings Digital Painters!
I am in need of a very talented digital painter for a paying COMIC BOOK project.
The goal is to produce a comic unlike anything else out there. We have a very intense and imaginitive story framework and we are look for a digital painter to complete out team. We will be working with a Writer (myself), Penciler( Sigmund Torre a published professional) and a Letterer/Designer. This is style and digital painting we are looking for.
For backgrounds they will all be penciled but painted realisticly like this...
www.goodbrush.com/hirez_pgs/concept/concept3/compiler.htm
The figure work would be colored in a fashion something like this....
A regular, tight penciled drawing like this. http://64.246.38.49/artbyfeng/char_19.html
And color it skinwise in something realistic like this...
www.goodbrush.com/hirez_pgs/sketches/sketch3/feng.htm
And all metals and clothing and what not would be colored realistly as well.
The tone or atmosphere of the colors would have a cool or blue feeling. Giving the feel of a live action film.
The format this comic will produced will be experimental and you would have just as much creative say as the writer or anyone else.
Please email me here if you think you would fit this bill. Thanks!
[email protected]
Peace!
