i've got nothing to do this summer so i decided to work with my paintingskills.
i have never really understood how to paint in photoshop and i had never tried it very much either. i have just been doing a lots of doodles. like the one in the gasmask thread
anyway, i found this sculpture and decided to start studying it in b/w.
i'll try to paint different angles and different light angels.
anyway, since this is my first try i'd really like som critisism and pointers. maybe even som tips.

there's something wrong around the nosepart but don't compare the pictures too much since i couldn't get my camera to capture the light correct. the angle is a bit off too. but you get the main idea and that was the point.

For someone who says they don't do alot of digital painting in PS this piece looks good. I especially like the eye and nose areas.
The only comment i can make is that some of the edges could do with sharpening up. |
