Well, after some weeks of "inactivity" (in fact too much work) here's my last pic. I wanted to create something cheesy, colourful, that could catch my daughter's eyes (she is both faeries).
It is made in Painter 7, by the way, with (obviously) photo reference for the faeries.
What do you think?

I have overloaded my "cute" quotient for the day just by looking at this but it is very nice. The babies might be a bit "overdone" but again it is quite good.
Thanks for sharing

The difference in skin colour between the two throws me off. Cute as hell though. |

PAPPUFTP: Yes, it is a bit overdetailed and sharp (even it has been reduced highly in size, and converted to JPEG), but I am afraid Spooge's styles requires too much "global" vision for me to achieve yet. Maybe when I practice a bit more I'll be able to "loose" the strokes more. Thanks for the comment!
xXxPZxXx Yes, that was the intention: cheese melting from all our pores. Seriously, I tried that. If you take a look at my web (Tayete.com you'll notice all I have are soldiers, warriors, tank crews, etc... It was time for a change. Thanks for the compliments!
Basement bound : Thank you for your comments. That's something that's bugging me too: I created the pic with a LCD monitor, and though the skins had tonal differences between both faeries (intended), now I watch it with a classic monitor, I find out the differences are very big, and that the left faerie is darker than I had expected. It is a pity...
[666]Flat That's a big compliment, thanks!
Vesuvius Thanks for your help! I was trying to translate "pickles" (I am not too good with English), and I guess it means war/blood/death or something like that in this case...Am I right? |

The bodies of both are a little disgusting. The faces are nicely detailed and anatomically correct, even if the first one looks a bit demoic . |

Crappygrandpa : Thank you! I must say I'm not too fond of this "schoolgirl-portfolio cover kind of pictures", but it has been funny to get away from all the warriors and soldiers I use to paint.
Beowulfthefallen : I am afraid I disagree about the bodies...look closely a baby and you'll see they are that way. Anatomical measures change completely, and everything is rounded, full of wrinkles, with big depressions and big flesh accumulations. Hands and feet are very small compared with the body, and the head is huge compared with it too...I hadn't noticed they were so ball-like until I had my first daughter (I hadn't paid too much attention to any baby, if I have to tell the truth). Anyways, thanks for the crits.! |
