Here is something I've been working on for the past... well 2-3 weeks. Flying cars and people are comming up!

Nice work!

A number of crits:

A) There's not much to hint that the scene is essentially Muscovian or even Russian. Could be Paris, Ontario, Hull...

B) I think there needs to be a focus. You mentioned adding in people and vehicles. This is good, as it should give the pic a bit more 'ooomph'.

C) The street corner on the left at the top of the pic screams "BUMP MAPPINGGGGGGGG". Perhaps tone it down a bit?

Very cool though, I like the way you haven't gone for the cliche'd Blade Runner effect with dark skies and chimneys etc.

Simple but very effective. I really dig the lighting and readering of it.

He's right about the obvious bump map up top/left though. It's mainly the heavy phong highlight that does it.

Not that you'd notice if there was other stuff in the scene. Looking forward to seeing the next version.

Hey, you actually had me fooled for a second. I thought it was a photo-manip until I read the comments. Great mood in this picture. I can't wait to see how it looks after you've populated it.
