This is an interior chamber. I was going for a large scale feeling. The thing...??? not sure what it is... I'm thinking maybe the God of all ham...

Check out detail No. 2 to get a sense of the scale.

Digitally painted using a Wacom tablet and Photoshop 7.

That is superb...I like the bright and sort of "happy" upbeat quality of your work.
The ornamental structure looks a little freaky resembling some sort of cocoon cluster. The perspective and materials are well done too. It seems that the right roof structure is slanting though.

I found it hard to be convinced of the enormity of the room without something closer to the viewer for a sense of scale.

I don't know. Maybe a ledge in the left third, with some backlit authority figure showing his grand creation off to some clientelle.

Other than that, well done.

Impaler... the sense of scale is apparent when you view detail #2. It doesn't really show up that well in lo rez on a computer screen. When it's printed out on 19 inch wide paper, it's a bit clearer.

Also... made some additions and added two new details.

well the devil is in the details isnt it?
eyewoo yes , detail no 2 and other do signify to a large extent the breadth of ur scene..
my opinion for what it is worth is..anything large usually is duller in colour than what u have depicted here.. especially the yellows ..so dull colours might bring out its enormous size.. also if the background is misty( i know its an interior shot but artistic license might bail u out)ie; smoke or what have u.. it would give it a lot of depth..atmospheric perspective to complinent the linear perpective
apart from that . lovely work

pappuftp... I was going for a sort of misty background int he room... Perhaps not misty enough.

I've also done a bit more work on the God of All Hams, giving it some more godly atmosphere...
