my friend knows the guy that runs this site. he told me to post these and get people to crtique it and stuff... so far no one is

Both Photoshop? This first is intriguing, but could use more rendering, particularly in making the edges of the figure "turn" or look like the surface actually wraps around behind the figure. Also, even tho it is a mono-chrome, try varying the colors, even if all green, a bit more. The grass is fine for a sketch; for finished work, you may want a bit more variety in shape, and color. Show more shadow on the underside of blades, etc.

The sword looks good, but rather small to critique. All-in-all, nice work.
