30 years ago, when the first scrin crafts arrived, temperatures have already dropped over 10 degrees in the equatorial regions, and worse in the polar regions. This is one of the few remaining archives documentaring the last moments of the green Atrigo.
like my previous pieces, it is based on the AR2 universe, for more information, click on the link in my sig |

looks good I would like it to have more texture but without it is ok...
I do PS with out a tablet also the tablet does not really help a whole lot just increases your speed in painting and such.
I like the pic... I know how you feel that not many people post on your thread etc... since I am new to these fourms also... |

I'm confused about this whole AR2 universe, cause it's not a game, it's not a show, so is it a novel? I'm clueless

tha igloo thing does not look like it... at least not to me. the pic is not realistic but it is realistic enough to tell it is made of clean cut metal sheets of some sort not sure what it is though... to get the "igloo" look out add some wires and some other stuff on it... |

I think it would look better if it were set in more of an artic region, otherwise wouldn't the igloo melt? |

Calm down a bit mate if it is seen quickly than yes it will look like what people say... that is crit mate even if it is funny one... Sometimes we "artist" make somethings and never think that it could resemble another thing... and that is what happened here. So do not take it hard just fix it a bit... less white more dirt one it scratches and wear and tear like your other works you have done. |

well if the igloo thing is suppose to be a large dome shaped building of some sort then I appoligize for my ignorance: but in that case the perspective is all wrong cause unless I'm told it looks like the building is only few feet away from the soldier and relative to the soldier I naturally concluded that the building is the size of a typical igloo: What also support that conclusion is the lack of fine details on the building's surface, cause I just 'assume' that a large building will have little details or SOMETHING to suggest that it's a building but in this case the big white block only make it seem more like igloo made out of ice blocks. The problem with that building is that it creates an unusual contrast with the tall buildings in the distance cause it's akward to see an igloo like structure next to large sky scrapers. I do agree that the picture could benefit by 'putting men there to show how fucking big the structure is' although at first it would seem like there are civilization of little men and it would require some stretch of imagination to see it properly: so I say you do what I suggested before: give some details to the building and work with the perspective as well.
Regarding my rating I think it just shows how biased the whole rating system is cause sometimes people only want to hear what they want to hear.
And I know what it's like using mouse and just letting you know I've been there as well. In fact, that's pretty good for a mouse user so calm down, relax, and no you don't suck. |

oh and btw, if you want something to look far away, these are just a few suggestions that i have which you may be able to apply:
1. The further things are away from the ey the less detail they have. The 'igloo' has very clear, defined detail thus making it appear quite close to the viewer
2. The further things are away from the eye the less bright (chromatic) the colours - ie hills will be a greyish green..everything seems to get grey and foggy in the distance.
and
3. atmospheric perspective.
Imagine you have a rectangle with a horizontal line somewhere in the middle (the horizon line)...the bottom half of the rectangle (land) will get dark to light towards the horizon line, and the top segment (sky) will get dark to light towards the horizon line also. Does that make any sense?
Though not sure you could successfuly apply this rule to your pic.
which is very good, btw. Well done ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

A "real artist" should be able to take criticism and joking a bit. It does look like an igloo no matter what excuses you do make for it, but for the most part just add some dents and stuff in the metal. Show some imperfections.. same with the gun. Even suggestive ones would give the CG a better feel. But I like the angle you took on this pic because the UFO thingies seem to really be coming in on an attack run. |

Cool picture... the only thing is, the ice blocks in your igloo are just way too big... If you look at a *real* igloo, you will see that the ice blocks are much smaller incomparison to the overall proportion of the igloo, and also they are layed out in a more regular pattern. I mean the igloo is still recognizable, but i think the igloo would look better if the igloo was made out of more igloo like block.
Just my 2 cents. |

You've got a ton of movement in this picture. That took some skill. Colors are nice too. Looks pretty pro, actually.
Do you have some unresolved anger management issues? No reason to start throwing the dirty wordies. sheeesh! people these days.

Hi, Like the pic, the angle youve chosen works really well. The igloo issue shouldnt piss you off, just relax and take the crit how u want to take it. If it looks too much like an igloo and you dont like that fact, then change it, and dont call people mother fuckers or the like, not very nice. People will begin to take sides so be warned. Try and add some more texture detail to the whole pic as it is very flat, I understand you only have a mouse but have a go anyway. Nice tho. |

Nice igloo ...
but I wonder why they blow it up ... igloos are so primitive
maybe the soldiers where bored so they built an igloo ?
Anyway , good piece of work

Man, some people sure are mean. But really, an artist must draw onto paper (or digital whatever) what he wants people to see. If people do not see what the artist intended they see, then something has gone amiss.
If people say it looks like an igloo, even though you say it's not, people will still think the same way.
Not that I think it looks like an igloo. When I first saw this pic the thought never occured to me. Actually, I thought your sandbags could use more dirt and grime.
But I do like your explosions and lasers. |
