After seeing Rinaldo's cool painting video I had to paint something and I promised to post it here even if it fails (which unfortunately is the case here...). I hope atleast somebody finds this helpful.

the final:

------------------

step 1, sketching:

step 2, something.. yes, I hate writing :

step 3:

step 4:

step 5:

step 6:

btw. the style was inspired by roundeye, especially the huge ears hehe

"Rinaldo's cool painting video"

I'm interested, what is the video? Who exactly made it? What's it called?

That's great--and a nice tutorial, showing how you built up the image, as well!

Wahaca: I'm not sure where I saw it, but I think you can find it from Rinaldo's website: http://bugglefug.cgcommunity.com/

Thanks for the comments Lunatique and Visual Myriad, here's another, it's supposed to be protoss (no steps for this):

I'm glad to see you Rinaldo!
I've mostly been doing freelancing, personal projects (and images) for portfolio, now only the job is missing. I usually just check ICQ for new messages, I'll try to be online more often from now.

Last week went playing games, I didn't draw a line and I even managed to get a little rusty in that time, these sketches were made in order to get the lost inspiration back: the bunnies were the ones I made first, and the werewolf was the last.

the_monkey: Haven't seen the original in ages so I can't remember if it was better or worse.. Thanks for your compliment!

Now that I got some practise by sketching I wanted to do more detailed pic, I started with the character and added the background later, it looks a bit "cut'n pasted". Anybody wanna see this newest pic coloured?

Oh and by the way, hearing some crits (other than my own ) would be nice, even an overpaint if you got the time.

but the castle on the top seems out of place... er... i would prefer the picture to go without that castle which seems to be on a tree...

but still, keep it up!

I'd love to see the last one colored. That pic has geat atmosphere. I would try and give some crits and I'm sure there is something that can be improved upon, I just can't see anything wrong with it really.

The fly on your website is really cool, by the way.

because if you don't paint blowjobs, no one else will (besides flat)?

heh, kidding. really dig the atmosphere in the fantasy world, and the colors on the baptist.
