Wow! My gosh! I love colors and the perspective (makes this stranger to be a really tall guy and probably a good wanderer/climber). Anything is just perfect.

The only think that distracts my eye is the sun shining trought the clouds just right of his head. Looks like the clouds are behind the light, but that's just me

Great work!

OOooo... I just love that! The golden light is nearly blinding me (my eyes are so sensitive right now. Heheh.)

Great mood in the picture and it works perfectly though he is standing smack in the middle of focus =]

[edit] And of course we remember you, silly ;]

That is great work. Beautiful background. I'd say as a whole it's a bit too monochromatic though. Some extra hue variation here and there would be nice. Also the size difference between the hands is too big imo. I would also check the alignment of the fingers in the hand holding the staff. They look little stiff as they are. Just nit-picking here. Post more often, please.

That is one bad-ass sunset. I agree about the hand size thing, but I rather like the monochromatic look.

So what has kept you away for so long?

Hi there!
I certainly remember you from way back, 2 years at least...!

Nice to see your new work, this really rules I remember you used to do very colourful fantasy stuff, but the near-monochrome look works perfectly for this pic of course. I love your handling of the level of detail overall, sharpness contrasts softness in just the right places even though it's completely realistic.

Wow, that's superb, I love it, just .. wow. *rambles incoherently* I'm a sucker for dramatic pictures and torn tattered cloth, not to mention burning clouds.

The highlight on the left side of the hood seems a bit strong, but that's probably just me (critting for critting's sake here, geg).

Stunning man... Awesome lighting! VERY tensionpacked atmosphere! Beatifull!

One sugestion... I personally think that with such a strong backlighting as you're going for, the light would blur more of his contoures... like flowing over his shoulders and clothing (see you've attempted this effect underneath his right arm!). I think it would give him an even more powerfull mystified or religious look.

Hmmm well just a suggestion... thought you had enough of all the clapping and chearing by now!

SO VERY COOL MAN!!!

Hey, seems like I was wrong... thanks people for your feedback!
A few facts about this piece - drawn quite fast, 5-6 hours in total. I also tried to keep some spontanely, sketchy energy without myriads of brushstrokes. No any reference were used, only imagination.

-HoodZ-: thanks!

S4Sb: eh crossfire... that was really long ago.

Dr.Bang: Thanks! Sure I'll post more here. Btw, if I'm not totally mistaken it was you who asked me about Aki Ross in swimsuit right?

[666]Flat: Thx man!

pixtur: mmm... yes, there are some little bugs with sunlight...

Enayla: my goddness, what's happen with your eyes? Are you spend too much time tweaking those dark and mysterious images so now sunlight hurts you? Silly... lol! =)

Rhomb: Thank you for the crits. The image comes totally from my imagination without any life reference, I just keep in mind a few simple things.

Gimbal8: Well that's a long story heh... say, I just polished my skills working on different projects... damn commercial stuff eats all my time! However all that time I still read this forum.

Kari Christensen: Thank you.

Isric: Thanks, glad you like them.

The Magic Pen: Thanks man!

Gordillo: I just look too much at matte paintings from the real masters. That's the secret.

sfr: Hiya Saffron! Yeah... since year 1999... hope I'm progressed a bit from those old drawings. =)

Sukhoi: It's 100% Photoshop.

Dryfire: Thanks man.

kig: no problem with crits, it's ok if you see something that bugs your eye while I see nothing. So because of that thing we're looking for c&c from aside.

arkoh: Hehe thanks! I played with lightbeams and blur but drop that idea and decided to leave a crisp shape.

Oblagon: Thanks!

Again, thanks people for your feedback! Hope to post more soon .

That's brilliant!! I have only a _minor_ crit (nothing constructive):

(I brightened the arm and made the staff and the hand darker)

btw. I've gotten many visits from your site When I finish the links section of my website, you can be sure to find your name there!

I remember you Leo. Or more to the point I remember that long thread that sprung out of your Trinity phonebooth pic. I think there were quite a few repaints on that one...

As everyone else has said, this is really nice. Fantastic even. The clouds, the ground, the cloth--they're all so well done. Maybe you intended it to be, but his head is really thin.

I remember you too.. kind of Though, I haven't posted here in a long time either.
