See my attempt at impressionism. Actually, if you look at this pic from about 25/20%, it looks extremely detailed. Except then it's really small. I've recently been working on my landscapes, and I'll be doing more in days to come.
C and C are welcome, of course. I know it just looks like a bunch of scribbles, my friends have already pointed this out. Ah, the cruelty of life.

Looks pretty good!
If your friends think this is just a bunch of scribbles, maybe you need new friends
I like the fresh pure colors, it really is quite impressionistic in that sense. Maybe you should try to work on your brush strokes to get some more interesting shapes going on - now there's this right-slanted scribble pattern going on everywhere, which makes this image look a bit more tedious than it deserves, really.
I'll be looking forward to more of your landscapes!

Thanks for the comment Saffron. I didn't even notice the right-slanted thing, but it is quite obvious now. I think what I was going for at the time was that incoming light thing, but I sort of messed the light-sourcing at a number of places I can see.
And I'm right-handed, so left slants are harder for me. |
