This is copied word for word from eatpoo, but I like this pic, so I'm spamming it everywhere. :]
I tried to loosen up with this pic. It started out as a monochrome sketchbook painting in acrylic, and eventually was scanned and evolved into this. Full rez cutouts below...

Basement bound- Thank you. Yes very cool. When I started this, I wasn't expecting much, so it was a nice experiment/surprise. :]
el scoono- You remember that? But that was months ago! Wow, Im honored. Thank you very much.
Dark VVulf and tyron- Hmm No big secrets, it only took a total of about 4 hours, but I can take you through my layers.
This is what I scanned in. It's acrylic on gessoed watercolor paper, with a normal ink pen used to draw over the paint when dry.
new layer on top set to soft light, used to block in the colors quickly with a big round brush. (photoshop 7)
it needed stronger color, so I copied the color layer with the same layer setting (soft light)
new layer on top (normal), used for all the opaque "painting". used some custom brushes and round brushes, just the norm digital painting stuff.
added the text bubble and the text, and small fine lines with a 1, 3, and 5 pix brush.
