I drew this for a friend, she instructed me to "Put a really inappropriate title on it"
I drew it in the midst of math class, and there-for didn't put my full effort into coming with a cool and/or dynamic pose.

I have nothing further to add in my defence.

oh yeah, this is what the person looks like.

(I sampled the colors in the drawing from the picture)

I like how my calculus teacher gives us teeny little spaces to work in, and demands that we show every little scrap of work.

However, thats not helping me improve my DRAWING ABILITY.

nice drawing, the technique is ok, try to work with the width of your lines to make surfaces appear less/more curved lines should go inside the body (try a line under her left breast, a little line in her right elbow

allso female hands are more like her right hand, and less like her left, the fingers do not stay the same width they become thinner as they go along, and are long and slinky... or just long if you wanna keep them square

my suggestion is... draw a lot, look at drawings a lot, read books about drawings... a lot .... repeat as necesary

read the same books over and over, notice how you learn more from the same books every time you improve your skills,

(you become less likely to do stupid mistakes, so you notice the more advanced things when you read, you draw the more advanced things, you then become more and more advanced so on...)

oh and study the old masters, they arent called that for nothing.

another note, keep in mind the FORM of what you are drawing, you have a left/right issue, your right (her left) is square, while your left (her right) is round look at the shoes, look at the hands, practice avoiding that.

finally: dont beg for attention, if you dont get attention, post more drawings, if you dont have more to post, make more drawings, even the most horrible people can get respect by simply working hard (666 anyone?)

and have fun.

NinjaPirate- to improve the image, X the profanaty. While it is great at the bar/playground unless it is VERY expressive, does not usually get a great responce from the viewer. The proportions on her need work the legs look like they are from a Biker babe, the hands from a inbreed villager, and the arms of Mr.Fantastic. I don't want you to think that I am being a jerk, I am just using words to create visual relations for you to see my points on what needs work.
Watch out for sharpie markers.

Have you got a problem with my potty mouth?

BOY you need to work on your communicative manner, if you don't want to sound like a jerk, then don't. Saying "I don't WANT to sound like a jerk" is just plain lazy. Sit down and think of a better way of putting it.
Also, maybe I don't WANT to relate well to people who take offence at great words like "FUCK", they're usually stick-up-the-ass art snobs.
AND finally, I looked at your webpage, and your drawings. >Cough<
jesus dude, your rippin ME up for drawing bad? you fucking clownshoe??

Theres a slim chance you were making some kind of lame joke and I missed it, probably because it was lame. again, you godda work on them communication skillz.

Wow, Rob you have alot of pep don't you.
Hey I use Fuck all day. I was just saying that in Fine Arts it is generally not well used, or highly regarded. However, read 'Squee' it is well used. I NEVER was trying to put you down just some guidance. I think you flew off the handle there. Sure not all my stuff is great, you think I just post my
good stuff. I am not crying about the sketchbook, it was more to see if it would make it back than anything else. I think you have to calm down here.

BloodStone- Cheers mate. I owe you one.

Nice pic, Rob....but I think you should spend more time honing your pretzel drawing skills because we are still hiring some artists who may be interested in doing some pictures for feature articles. I also liked your duck, but I think your main strong point is your pretzel, which was very well sketched without too much detail, but with enough effort it didn't look like a piece of shit. So keep on drawing pretzels man....its you ticket to the big bucks! -Chadwick Harris
