in my humble opinion, the muscles could use some more shades in them. And especially highlights. That looks a bit like you've got the base colour at place and the shadow too, but the lack of highlights makes it look flat.
don't listen to me, somebody's probably got better advice ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

i think u need to define the muscles more, right now they look really dim makes the picture kind of flat. other than that good picture.

Yes I would say that there is some influence from Spawn. I hope its not a rip. I'll go back and add some highlights to the muscle.
Thanks for the comments so far!

How bout having a more natural looking hair? And if those are suppose to be ninja swords, they don't really look anything special, and if you are not going for originality then do some research on what Japanese katanas looks like so you can at least make them look good.
well I guess the biggest problem I have would be that you call him a ninja but no such ninja would dress up like that, especially the face mask, BUT DON'T LISTEN TO ME cause it's just my BIASED opinion |

Try putting some highlights real close to the dark area's of the muscles. It would really bring out the muscle definition.
Also, u need a light source, try thinking where your lighting is coming from and draw highlights from that. ![](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

Tell me what you think of the shading, because I've been trying hard to get better. My biggest weakpoint has been shading muscles and having them look flat.
Thanks,
